About BKPCA
Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal is a registered charity dedicated to promoting men’s health through early detection and awareness of prostate cancer. We provide accessible, community-based prostate cancer testing and work to ensure that every man has the opportunity to take control of his health.
We are entering an exciting period of growth and are seeking new passionate and committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees.
About The Role
As a Trustee, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the charity, ensuring sound governance, and helping to drive the organisation’s mission forward.
We are particularly seeking a Trustee with experience in fundraising and income generation, who can contribute to developing sustainable funding streams and expanding our donor and partner network.
Time Commitment
5-10 hours per month, including quarterly Board meetings and occasional prostate cancer testing events.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the strategic direction and long-term sustainability of the charity.
- Act as an ambassador for BKPCA, promoting its mission and values within your professional and personal networks.
- Lead or support the design and implementation of fundraising initiatives, campaigns, and partnerships.
- Champion awareness of prostate cancer testing events being organised by BKPCA .
- Support the development of BKPCA prostate cancer testing services and events.
- Ensure the charity operates within its legal and regulatory framework.
- Contribute to financial planning and ensure the effective use of resources.
- Work collaboratively with fellow Trustees and the leadership team.
About You
- Experience in fundraising, business development, or partnerships desirable
- Understanding of health, community, or nonprofit sector.
- Strong professional network that could support fundraising and awareness-building efforts.
